A look back on 2015

NDDT Apprentice, Christian Davock, was shortlisted and subsequently won ‘Apprentice of the year’ the award ceremony was hosted by Doncaster College in February 2015.

 

NDDT are proud to continue working in partnership with Tinder Foundation through the delivery of UK Online. NDDT has two registered centers delivering in Town centre and through the North of Doncaster.

 

Mini Kicks at Bullcroft Memorial Hall, a fun and easy way to introduce children aged between 3-6 yrs to the beautiful game of football.

 

Bullcroft Memorial Hall, NDDT hosted a special Christmas Get Together that was exclusive to the over 60's. The meals were prepared and served by the young people of the community. Everyone had an enjoyable time.

 

 NDDT once again happy to support Macmillan by hosting a  Coffee Morning on Friday 25th September 2015 at Bullcroft Memorial Hall, Carcroft. Thanks to everyone who brought along buns and cakes to help raise money for this worthy course.

 

Through out 2015 Bullcroft Memorial Hall played host to a number of Christmas Craft & Gift Fair events. The Christmas Fair  was organised by Ultimate Craft Events and it gave stall holders the opportunity to attended and show off their talent and creative flare at the same time as supporting worthy local charity Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.

 

Excited children of all ages attended Bullcroft Memorial Hall to have breakfast with Santa and a chance to meet the man himself where he presented all the children with a gift. Santa also made a special appearance at the Mini Kicks Christmas boot camp.

 

Congratulations to Chair person of North Doncaster Development Trust, Vanessa Powell-Hoyland, who graduated and collected her Masters Degree in 2015.

 

North Doncaster Community Transport was happy to support Asda, Carcroft to help deliver food and toiletries to the local food bank at Christchurch Doncaster.

 

Energetic queen of fitness Sonique introduced the community at Bullcroft Memorial Hall to a variety of fitness classes such as Zumba, Steel Combat and Clubbercise. Sonique is back with a vengeance for 2016 determined to get us all fit and healthy.

 

In 2015 NDDT were overjoyed to receive funding from DMBC Innovation Fund, allowing the Trust to roll out two new projects – Driving Communities and Make my Day.

Driving Communities is delivered by North Doncaster Community Transport offering volunteering opportunities and training to individuals enabling them to support community organisations and local residents with barriers to access to transport.

Make My Day is a range of activities and events including The Old Boys Club, Community Social, Lets Get Crafty and The Out & About Club. These events and activities are held at Bullcroft Memorial Hall and are aimed at  helping to reduce the instances of social isolation within our community.

 

After the sad event of the break-in earlier in the year at Bullcroft Memorial Hall, Asda, Carcroft along with members of the community pulled together to help us tackle the over grown grass and plant some trees & shrub since all our gardening equipment had been stolen.  We would like to thank everyone for pulling together and helping us at this difficult time. A special thank you to Lisa and the team at Asda, Carcroft for their continued help and support throughout 2015.
