North Doncaster Development Trust (NDDT) is one of South Yorkshire’s largest Development Trusts, with over 50 dedicated members of staff working on a variety of regeneration projects to improve the local economy, build thriving communities and encourage enterprise.

Recruitment Support for local employers:

This is a fast, free and friendly service! NDDT has been successfully providing free tailored recruitment support to large and small employers in Doncaster since 2009.  We work with employers across all sectors, from care to construction, and we pride ourselves in providing a customer focused service to both individuals and employers.

YES - Youth Employability Support

This project works with anyone aged 16 – 18, that is not in employment, education, or training, to develop and work through a personal career action plan.

The Work Programme: employment support

The Work Programme is a Government, initiative committed to fighting poverty; supporting the most vulnerable and helping people break the cycle of benefit dependency. NDDT delivers the Work Programme on behalf of A4e and Serco Welfare to Work, for the Job Centre Plus, Department of Work Skills and Pensions. 

Our advisors help customers to remove barriers to employment, gain focus and direction in their search for employment all the time concentrating on what they can do, not what they can’t.

Employment Support for Families

In late 2011 the Government announced a new £200 million outreach service to help England's most troubled families.  Families Support provides a tailored service to help individuals back to work as well as support to tackle family issues including parenting, role models, and support for children with special needs.

Office space and meeting rooms for hire in Doncaster

NDDT offer reasonably priced office space and meeting rooms for hire in Doncaster, at the Bentley Resource Centre.  Social enterprises, local community/ voluntary groups and organisations working directly with the people of Doncaster, can benefit from our flexible and affordable arrangements.

Office Space is rented out at £165 per square metre per year. We have a variety of spaces available to suit all your needs.  To discuss your specific needs and find the right office space

NDDT’s Community Transport 16, 8, & 7 seat vehicles for hire

Our Transport service has been providing a friendly, reliable, cost effective and accessible transport service since 2003.  The not-for-profit project was set up to break down transport barriers in Doncaster.

NDDT Community Transport employs friendly reliable divers, who go the extra mile to make your journey a comfortable and enjoyable experience. We work with local businesses helping them to fulfill their Corporate Social Responsibility by supporting a local charity.

Micro Grants & Funding Searches

NDDT has allocated a total of £20,000 for groups in North Doncaster for Micro Grants of up to £500 to improve or develop their local communities. NDDT set up the Micro Grants project in 2009 as part of our commitment to support voluntary and community groups in North Doncaster.  Micro Grants enable many small projects to continue operating and encourage wider community participation. Micro Grants 2011/12 are available until April 2012.

NDDT also conducts funding searches for local groups in North Doncaster, using Grantfinder - the UK’s leading grants and funding search database.  Grantfinder holds details of UK and EU grants, loans, venture capital and advisory programmes.

First Steps 2 Fitness – Community Gym

The ‘First Steps 2 Fitness’ project assists people to access health, fitness and wellbeing opportunities. The community gym is available to all.  This is great for anyone who may be low in confidence or who has never used a gym and wants to try it out in a relaxed friendly environment, before considering attending a local fitness centre.  Our professional gym instructors will help each individual to devise a health plan to achieve their personal fitness goals at their own pace. 

Go online – Free Basic Computer Courses

NDDT is a recognised UK Online Centre providing FREE Basic Computer Courses including how to: use a computer, job hunt online, shop online, use social websites and upload images with your digital camera.  These courses are available for anyone in Doncaster to access, whether you’re a complete beginner or you have a little experience and want to learn more.

NDDT support Woodlands Speaks

Woodlands Speaks is a group of voluntary and community sector organisations working in Woodlands. They have been granted £8,500 from the ‘Big Lottery Getting People Involved Fund’ to help to get people involved in doing things in their community.  North Doncaster Development Trust, has been nominated to hold the money on behalf of Woodlands Speaks. Advertise your events for free on our events calendar. Simply email: info@northdoncaster.org.uk with all your events information. Remember to include: venue, time, date, admission costs, description and point of contact. We can also attach posters, images and logos.

Free entry on our online directory. Go to: http://www.northdoncaster.org.uk/directorysignup.htm to fill in the short form.  You can also add photos or logos.  Simply email them to info@northdoncaster.org.uk.

Share your news. Send us your news releases, latest newsletters, and project launches etc.We will display them on our newsreel. We also mention some news articles that feature on our website on both twitter and facebook.
