Be Inspired... with Emma Jones at Holiday Inn - Doncaster
14th September 2010
Time: 18:30 to 20:30
Venue: Holiday Inn - Doncaster
Description: Emma Jones, the founder and editor of the home business website Enterprise Nation, started two businesses herself from home offices in London, Manchester and rural Shropshire. Emma started her first business at the age of 27 and successfully sold it just 15 months after launch. The home business website was launched in 2006, and has attracted a regular readership of more than 250,000 people and national press headlines.
Emma has written for Enterprise Nation since its launch and she is regularly called upon by the government to advise and to speak on the subject of home business.
In 2009, Emma was responsible for the UK’s first ever Home Enterprise Day, held during Global Entrepreneurship Week; a chance to celebrate the millions of people who have turned a talent/hobby/skill into a way of making a living, and part of their home into a business HQ. Emma is the author of ‘Spare Room Start Up – how to start a business from home’ and her next book, ‘Working 5 to 9 – how to start a business in your spare time’ will be published in May 2010.
At this event, Emma will share her entrepreneurial story and describe the power of the home based business revolution taking place behind front doors across the country. Emma offers insights into how you grow a business from home, drawing on her own experience and that of the many home entrepreneurs profiled on her company’s website.
Aimed At: Anyone who is interested in starting, has just started, or has been running a business from home.
Main Points: Be Inspired – as our guest speakers share with you the stories of how they made it to the top and what they learned along the way.
The event concludes with the opportunity to network over a light buffet and refreshments.
