Econstruction Project
2004 – 2008
This project delivered basic construction skills to people who were considering a future in the construction industry. It was run by Mick Stephenson.
The project also supplied a ‘Handy Man’ service to local homes and offices.
The project encouraged 74% of its participants into employment or further training and provided an excellent service to people on low incomes.
167 Volunteers experienced the challenges of the project, with 84% going on to employment, further training, or self employment.
Mick Stephenson has gone on to start his own business in small building works, and house repairs.
