Doncaster Re-Furnish
Doncaster Re-Furnish were the winners of the 'Business of the Year' and 'Enterprise through Innovation' categories for the Biz Awards 2008. Congratulations to everyone concerned.
Our aim is to:
* assist people in need by providing re-use furniture and domestic electrical appliances at affordable prices.
* significantly reduce the amount of bulky waste, electrical items and hazardous/toxic materials going to be buried in landfill.
* provide local employment, work experience and training for staff, volunteers and work placements.
Doncaster Re-Furnish was launched in January 2003 with the aim of providing affordable furniture, electrical appliances and household goods to local residents. Furniture is sourced from collections of unwanted furniture from households throughout the Doncaster Borough. Re-Furnish currently employs approximately 20 staff and offers training and work placement opportunities to those involved in training schemes or wishing to volunteer.
We currently have stores in Doncaster Town Centre, Carcroft and Thorne where members of the public are welcome to come and have a look or buy quality used/new household goods.
