Doncaster Pathways
Doncaster Pathways is a small, locally-based HIV and sexual health support charity.
The main activities of Doncaster Pathways are:
5 drop-in sessions per week, 50 weeks per year.
2 sessions per week for one-to-one support and advice, 50 weeks per year.
2 men's outreach sessions 3 hours per week each, 50 weeks per year.
2 support visits to individuals and families per month.
a presence at 4 major events (Doncaster Live, Doncaster Pride, LGBT History Day and World Aids Day) per year.
12 awareness training sessions per year presented to local groups and organisations.
production of a monthly newsletter.
maintenance of a web site, http://www.doncasterpathways.org/.
general, day-to-day running of the Pathways Centre.
The expected outcomes of the project are:
increased awareness of HIV/AIDS and other sexual health issues.
a reduction in unsafe sexual practices, especially among younger age groups.
an improved standard of living, including opportunities for education, training and employment, for those infected or affected by HIV or dealing with other sexual health problems.
a reduction in the stigmatisation of those infected or affected by HIV or dealing with other sexual health problems.
