Who are we?

Mission Statement:
North Doncaster Development Trust (NDDT), promoting, social, economic and environmental regeneration with our communities.
Our Aims:
- Improving the quality of life in our community
- Helping people into work
- Supporting small and emerging business
- Supporting voluntary and community groups
Where did we start from?
The Trust started out with a collection of people interested in improving the communities in North Doncaster. They received support from the Ward councillors, Doncaster Council staff and other agencies to develop an organisation that aimed to support the community groups in North Doncaster and to improve the local economy.
Finances were secured from Objective 1 and Yorkshire Forward to provide a base and some staff to start to deliver projects that would create workspace and employment in the North Doncaster area in 2002.
Since then we have grown from strength to strength and we have retained some of the original staff who have continued to support the organisation. Our skills, experience and contacts have created the dynamic and innovative organisation that we are today.
Our area covers the whole of Doncaster and we are also involved in Regional and National partnerships to increase the potential for making lasting changes.
Where are we going to?
The organisation continues to deliver good quality projects and aims to grow to support thriving communities and create dynamic enterprise. We are always looking for new project ideas and continue to keep updated on research and future partnerships.
How are we going to get there?
Our staff are the most valuable assets, and we aim to keep them happy and effective through a variety of ways. This includes access to excellent training programmes, on-the-job training and conferences. We encourage flexible working conditions with a considerable amount of autonomy and responsibility in job roles.
We encourage our staff to work in partnership with a range of organisations in the public, private and third sector to increase the power of regeneration and lasting change.
